1940s Ava Evening Gown Set - Gold

We have adapted our bestselling Ava dress into an evening gown set that will make you swoon! Bodice is made in gold satin rayon and set to a floor length skirt in our signature heavy crepe. Iconic '40s bolero is in matching heavy crepe. This is so close to early 1940s styles where 1930s dresses were adapted during wartime austerity.

Bodice is shirred at the shoulders and gathered under the bust with flattering waist panel - deep V neckline. Flattering cap sleeves have gathers into the armhole. Skirt is pannelled to give a touch of swing. Back zip for easy. Bolero is softly shaped at the front to hug the neckline - sleeves cover the upper arm and soft pads in the shoulder for shaping.
