Stray From The Path — Clockworked (Green)

Green Vinyl LP

Rather than simply speak truth to power, Stray From The Path scream it as loudly as possible. Since the turn of the century, the New York quartet of Tom Williams (guitar/vocals), Andrew Dijorio (vocals), Anthony Altamura (bass) and Craig Reynolds (drums) have fused hardcore with metallic precision, hip-hop swagger, punk urgency, and searing political commentary.

It’s this unfiltered approach that’s built SFTP a loyal following and packed out venues across the globe.

Their new album, Clockworked, is a furious, unflinching look at the state of modern life, where violence, addiction, hypocrisy and apathy are normalized, commodified and endlessly looked past. Written against a backdrop of political collapse, media desensitization, and social decay, the record is a brutal reflection of the chaos that defines our times.

Whether it’s the emotionally detached doomscrolling captured in “Kubrick Stare,” the full-frontal political fury of “Fuck Them All to Hell,” or the blistering indictment of corporate violence in “Shot Caller,” every track hits like a clenched fist to the gut.

But Clockworked doesn’t just rage outward. Tracks like “Can’t Help Myself” dive deep into personal struggle with addiction and the discipline it took to break free, supported by brotherhood and Muay Thai. Elsewhere, “Clockworked” takes aim at the ways we’re manipulated into turning on one another, and “Can I Have Your Autograph?” challenges the numbing horror of war glorified on social media.

Unflinching and unfiltered, Clockworked is both a reckoning and a rallying cry. It’s Stray From The Path doing what they do best: holding a mirror up to a broken system and daring you not to look away.
